CD Tray opens automatically
It is really impossible to detect the cause of this problem in one go. There can be a lot of reasons for having this problem. You have to detect the exact problem by one or more ways. So let’s detect the problem by below mentioned steps.
if the tray is randomly opening by itself it's possible that another program installed on the computer is causing the problem. To determine if this is the cause, if you're running Microsoft Windows boot the computer into Safe Mode. To boot the computer in safe mode restart the computer and press F8 it will prompt you to boot in safe mode. if the tray is not ejecting in Safe Mode it's likely a program running on your computer is causing your problem. if the tray ejects while in Safe Mode then that can be a virus problem .Make sure that antivirus is installed, updated & enabled on your computer.
Then run a full P/c scan if virus is found and clean then its ok but if no virus is found and tray continues to eject then either the antivirus installed in your computer is unable to kill the updated virus or there is a TSR(Terminate-and-stay-resident) or other background program causing the issue I suggest close all TSR until you are not sure which TSR is causing the problem. If all above mention solutions doesn’t works then you can simply disable the drive from device manager and enable it only when you need it.
